Advisory Board Member – General Karlheinz ViereckKarlheinz Viereck

General (retired) Karlheinz Viereck is part of the Genderforce Advisory Board where he is bringing his long experience from working within NATO, last as the Joint Force Trainer with Allied Command Transformation (ACT) in Norfolk, Virginia. In the European Union operation EUFOR RD Congo, General Viereck served as the first Operational Commander that used a Gender Advisor on his staff.

General Viereck has extensive experience in management, operations, political-military affairs and education and training (leading thinker on training for the military) in the national and international arena; leading, designing concepts, issuing policies and directives, giving guidance. Involvement in security assistance,international and multilateral negotiations and conflict management. General Viereck was instrumental and the one facilitating the NATO future in the area of gender perspectives and UNSCR 1325 in relation to the planning and conducts of any NATO Operation or Mission.
