HomeServicesExamples of our security services

To provide examples of the different services we can provide to our clients (Human Right’s Defenders, NGO personnel, activists, government officials etc) we have selected the most important of often, by others, neglected areas.

Information and Advisory Services

Advisory Services

This is our most low key and discrete service to provide for updated and as accurate as possible information and assessment regarding current risks for the client.

We will also undertake a professional risk assessment covering all aspects of the clients situation including private life, relatives, background etc to make sure our advice on how the client will mitigate the risks they are exposed to are as accurate as possible.

Secure Living and Working Conditions

Secure Housing ServicesWe will assess the physical locations where our client lives and works to provide a security plan that will increase the level of security in these building using everything from perimeter protection and alarms to monitoring systems and guards.

Additional services here might include emergency plans for evacuation, transport routes to and from the locations and  contingency planning including riots and siege situations.

Secure Transportation

Secure Transport ServiceMaking sure that the client always takes the safest known route to and from their meetings, workplaces and social events. We will be providing the most suitable vehicle(s) necessary to achieve good protection, using low profile cars or fully armored vehicles depending on the situation.

Making sure longer road movements are coordinated with security organizations and authorities bringing plans and equipment to deal with accidents and emergencies while travelling.

Emergency Response

Emergency Response ServiceAt the core of our operations in any areas is always our “operations central” where we will fuse accessible intelligence from all available sources, including our official contact with local and regional Security Sector actors, with our own information networks into actionable advice for our own team, our partners and our clients.

With a sophisticated use of modern surveillance technologies and commercial products, we will be able to monitor our clients and their locations (should this be requested) from our operations central in order to be able to alarm and/or dispatch the proper response teams to their assistance in the event of an emergency.

We will provide a hotline or triage resource where identified people at risk can call when they are facing direct threats of violence so that we can deploy assistance or forward the call to appropriate resources. In doing so, we will ensure that the call is logged and a suitable response takes place.

We will primarily work with local security structures but if no such response will appear, Genderforce will demonstrate one of our truly unique capabilities and that is the deployment of our own professional response team.

Close Protection / Personal Security Details

Close Protection ServicesWe will provide a team of professional operators that will go together with the client(s) to situations that are assessed to be more potentially hostile or dangerous for them. The team can be anything from a group of non-armed accompanying women to a convoy/detachment of armed men, depending on the situation and level of threat at hand. In some cases, this service can be as subtle as including a trailing “follower”, an individual who just observes and records what is happening to our client, calling in an alarm if something happens, documents what is going on and will be able to act as a witness in a legal process.

Deploying a Personal Security Detail (PSD) to a client would provide said client with a very professional and comprehensive security solution. A client can be one or two principals that constantly travel and work together, and can be transported in the same vehicle movements. It does not need to be the same individuals every time, so an organization or group might share one or two teams to cover the needs of the whole organization. Apart from transportation, the PSD will assist with providing the services as detailed above e.g. emergency response, secure living arrangements and advisory services.

"A policy of ‘Zero-Tolerance’ cannot be underpinned by the reality of ‘Zero-Consequence’. The fact is that it is still largely ‘cost-free’ to rape in South Sudan. Until we raise the cost and consequences for committing, commanding or condoning these crimes we will not end the prevailing impunity that is a...
